Meet The Board

Jessica Wilkinson Labonte

Executive Director and Founder, Jessica Wilkinson LaBonte, has been a maternal mental health advocate for eight years.

After suffering from Postpartum Anxiety and Depression, she found her calling to help other women, to know they are not alone and it will get better.

Jessica has worked with national and local nonprofits to help shine a light on the dark that perinatal mood and anxiety orders bring. She is a published author, mentor and has a passion for the work she does.

Jessica is a stay at home mom of one son who is homeschooled. She loves watching TV medical dramas, cheesy reality shows, sewing, reading, Dot’s pretzels and digging in the dirt as a form of therapy!

Beth

Beth is the Vice President of Postpartum Support of the Texas Panhandle. She has been married 11 years and is a mom of 3.

Beth has plenty of experience with postpartum struggles. After dealing with postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and postpartum rage, she now works as a yoga teacher and women’s empowerment coach to help women-especially moms- to rediscover themselves and feel seen and heard while navigating different mental health struggles.

She has 4 dogs, loves cooking, can binge watch a whole season in one night, and is proud to say she has met and hugged Channing Tatum.

Alex

Alex is a mom of 3 boys and one on the way. She suffered from PPD after becoming a single teen mom and finding her way through her sobriety.

Through her journey in motherhood and sobriety, she often found herself alone and constantly battling her Depression. It wasn’t until after a miscarriage in 2018, that a friend referred her to the PSTP Facebook group. This is when she finally found the support and understanding she had been lacking.

Through this group she has made life long friends and tremendous progress in dealing with her PPD/PPA/PPOCD. This is how she found her passion to ensure that no mother ever suffers maternal mental health battles alone. That every mother is offered a safe place to share their struggles with other mothers and the tools to overcome these issues and find their joy in motherhood again!

Robin

Robin is the mom of two boys. She felt alone, misunderstood, and unheard after the traumatic birth of her first child. She began developing PPA and reached out for help from Jessica.

After joining the support group and another birth trauma group, she soon realized that she was also suffering from PTSD from this birth. Her goal is to prevent as much birth trauma as possible- to lessen the struggles that already come with motherhood- and to help all moms feels heard and validated, rather than dismissed.

Robin homeschools her boys, has a love for the “unloved” critters (spiders, snakes, insects), and gardening. She hopes to one day be a chicken momma.
